Online Therapy for Women in Pennsylvania That Meets You Beneath the Surface

Nervous System-Informed,

Values-Based Therapy

Virtually Throughout Pennsylvania

You’ve become so used to functioning well under pressure, managing the logistics, and carrying the invisible weight of everyone else's expectations. But beneath the surface, your nervous system is perpetually braced for the next thing, and you're running entirely on empty.

You don’t need another checklist, a quick fix, or someone to tell you to "just practice self-care." You need a space where you can finally stop performing, regulate a nervous system that has been running on high-alert, and return to yourself.

At Weathered Grace Therapy, I offer virtual therapy for women who are ready to move out of survival mode, understand the patterns that keep them over-functioning, and build lives that reflect who they are—not just what has been expected of them.

My approach is warm, grounded, and somatic—meaning we pay attention to what your body is holding, not just what your mind is analyzing. Together, we blend nervous-system-informed practices with evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you move beyond basic symptom management and build sustainable, supportive ways of living.

Virtual therapy available for adults and professionals across Pennsylvania.

Areas of Support

High-Functioning Anxiety & Perfectionism

Releasing the Constant Drive & Finding Your Own Pace

When your mind is constantly planning, anticipating, and preparing for what might go wrong, it can feel impossible to be fully present. You may look entirely put-together on the outside, while underneath, your nervous system is running on perpetual high-alert—managing a relentless mental checklist just to keep everything from unraveling.

For high-functioning women, perfectionism isn’t just about having high standards. It is an exhausting internal contract that says your worth depends on never dropping a single ball. In our work together, we combine somatic, nervous-system-informed practices with cognitive approaches to help you quiet that internal pressure, understand what keeps your mind racing, and build real trust in your ability to handle uncertainty without white-knuckling your days.

Boundaries & People-Pleasing

Stepping Out of the People-Pleasing Loop & Honoring Your Limits

You are deeply attuned to what other people need, feel, and expect, often organizing your entire day around keeping the peace and ensuring everyone else is comfortable. But while you excel at managing everyone else's world, you may struggle to identify, express, or honor your own needs.

Saying no often triggers an immediate wave of guilt, and setting limits can feel deeply uncomfortable when your safety has long depended on being accommodating. Therapy can help you understand the roots of your people-pleasing patterns, build the capacity to tolerate the discomfort of boundaries, and cultivate relationships that do not require your self-sacrifice.

Stress, Burnout & Nervous System Regulation

Shifting Out of Overdrive & Remembering How to Rest

You have been pushing through for so long that chronic exhaustion has simply become your baseline. You handle the next problem, absorb the next demand, and tell yourself you will slow down once life finally settles—except everything rarely settles.

Over time, living in constant overdrive takes a heavy physical and emotional toll, leaving you caught between high-functioning productivity, irritability, and sudden shutdown. Therapy helps you recognize the cycle of chronic stress, respond to your body’s warning signs, and build sustainable ways of living and working that actually honor your capacity.

Support for Late-Diagnosed ADHD In Women

An affirming, compassionate space for an internal processor that never shuts off.

For years, you may have masked your struggles behind sheer willpower, hyper-organization, or relentless over-compensation—flying under the radar while secretly feeling like you were working twice as hard just to keep up with ordinary life.

Late-diagnosed ADHD in women often looks like chronic overwhelm, executive dysfunction, emotional sensitivity, and a mind that constantly races or stalls out. This neuro-affirming, somatic space helps you unlearn the shame of trying to fit into neurotypical expectations. We focus on working with your unique brain wiring, regulating a nervous system fried by chronic adaptation, and building systems that actually fit how you function.

Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs)

Deep Processing, Sensory Attunement, and Self-Trust

The world is loud, fast-paced, and rarely built for a sensitive nervous system. If you process emotions, environments, and details deeply, everyday life can easily lead to profound sensory overload and exhaustion. This is a neuro-affirming, somatic space that honors your lived reality as an internal processor. Together, we focus on working with your natural wiring—rather than fighting it—to protect your energy, navigate overwhelm, and help you build a life that feels genuinely sustainable and deeply authentic to who you are.

Support for Educators, Other Helpers & HSPs

Rest and Reconnection for Professional Caregivers

Educators, healthcare workers, and helping professionals are almost universally deep feelers and Highly Sensitive Persons who process the world intensely. When your career requires you to remain endlessly patient, responsive, and emotionally available, your nervous system easily becomes frayed.

This somatic space honors your role as a professional caregiver while helping you put down the heavy weight of the work. Some of the concerns we will explore include:

  • Processing compassion fatigue and secondary trauma from working in high-demand systems

  • Managing the transition from "work mode" to home life so you can actually disconnect

  • Protecting your energy and building sustainable emotional boundaries

  • Reconnecting with who you are outside of your professional identity

You Do Not Have to Choose the “Right” Support

These concerns often overlap.

Anxiety can contribute to people-pleasing. Over-functioning can lead to burnout. Burnout can leave you disconnected from yourself. Years of helping others can create compassion fatigue and make boundaries feel increasingly necessary—but also increasingly difficult.

You do not need to determine exactly which category describes you before reaching out. We will begin with what you are experiencing and identify the approach that best supports your needs.

What Changes When You Stop Running On Empty

  • Recognize the patterns keeping you in survival mode

  • Notice stress before it becomes shutdown or exhaustion

  • Understand your nervous system’s responses

  • Reduce anxiety and chronic internal pressure

  • Set clearer boundaries

  • Separate your responsibilities from what belongs to others

  • Make decisions with greater confidence

  • Clarify your values, needs, and preferences

  • Reconnect with who you are outside of your roles

  • Create a life that feels more sustainable and genuinely yours

The goal is not to make you less caring, capable, or committed. It is to help you care without continually abandoning yourself.

What You Can Expect in Our Sessions

You can expect therapy to feel thoughtful, honest, and deeply human. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly organized PowerPoint presentation of what is wrong, or a spreadsheet of data neatly organized, and you certainly don't need to have all the answers! We can begin with whatever feels heaviest right now—even if it's just venting about the sheer absurdity of your week—and make sense of it together.

Our sessions are designed to feel like an authentic, grounded conversation complete with colorfully-inspired words if you feel moved to do so, rather than a clinical interrogation or a self-help seminar. Be yourself, be comfortable! Here is what this looks like in practice:

  • Collaborative & Real: I will offer support and validation, but I’ll also help you notice patterns, question your expectations, and consider possibilities you haven't allowed yourself to explore. I won't push you to change before you're ready, and I'm certainly not going to pretend I have all the answers to your life. YOU are the expert on your life, whether you believe it or not right now! We move at a pace that respects your nervous system while still helping you actually move forward.

  • Body-Centered: We honor the wisdom of your nervous system, acknowledging that burnout and chronic stress live not only in your physical body, but also in your thoughts.

  • Values-Focused: We aren't trying to make you more efficient so you can squeeze more tasks into your day; we are realigning your life around what actually matters to you.

  • Deeply Affirming: Your ambition, sensitivity, and depth of care are profound strengths. We are going to protect them, not pathologize them.

Therapy here may include some difficult conversations, but it will also include relief, genuine curiosity, humor that cuts through the noise, and the incredible lightness of finally saying something aloud that you have been carrying privately for years.

Sessions typically last 53-55 minutes virtually through my Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, Simple Practice. I usually meet with clients on a weekly basis, though due to scheduling needs and other factors, this may vary depending on your needs and situation. Expecting weekly sessions is a good start at least at the beginning of therapy, but we can discuss what works best for you.
